    I sooooo enjoy your channel, I find it to be relaxing. And speaking of Heat Domes, hows about Thundersnow and Gorilla HAIL, I had never, in my 60 some years of living, ever, hear those words when I was growing up. Oh, how the weather has changed. Blessings, Laurel 😁

    Those are not new terms for weather, just the non professional weather people didn’t know them back in the day. On the other hand news is intended to tantalize and even scare us. It probably is worst now.

    I love your channel. I have a question. Why does the pond have foam? Have you ever cleaned the pond filter?

    • @HiddenSpringFarm
      @HiddenSpringFarm 3 години тому

      Yes I’ve cleaned the filter but really I don’t know why. There seems to be a lot of algae maybe that’s it but I’m not sure exactly. Truth is I don’t even know if the filter will work the way it should in this kind of setup with waterfowl. Time will tell as I figure it out. Also water fowl feathers have like an oil to them so that could contribute maybe.

    Chad… with all your young fruit trees, removing the fruit will allow the trees to produce more foliage. Young fruit trees sell better in the nursery at the expense of future growth.

    for pig fence , you could use the current pens to train them to respect electric fence by running 1 strand down each side of the dividing fence. once they learn respecting electric fences it should be simple to poke some little posts in wherever you want. Critical to teach electric in a solid pen so they learn pull back vs push through when they get a shock. Looking good .

    If you are going to start promoting climate change denial theories, I'm going to have to unsubscribe because I dont support that. But I won't stop commenting because I can't stand by and watch my children's and my future grandchildren's future being destroyed without doing anything. I would say, though, that it would be a sad thing for me to do, because I have come to look forward to your videos and I have taken a liking to your farm and everyone who lives there, and how you and your wife do the daily work, but also improve and develop. I have developed a profound respect for your tenacy and love and care for the animals. Chad, please, please be reasonable. If you don't believe me, then seek information from other sources. When it comes to energy, I highly recommend the reports, statistics and briefs from the OECD and IEA (sister organizations). Most of the info is free.

    • @HiddenSpringFarm
      @HiddenSpringFarm 10 годин тому

      You do whatever you think is right but don’t get me wrong, I’m not a climate change denier. I recognize we need to change, but I don’t agree with taxing our people into oblivion while huge corporate polluters are exempt just cause they donate to their campaigns. I do balk at our carbon tax which has only contributed to Canadians being less fortunate and done nothing to lessen Canada’s 2% pollution rate around the earth. We Canadians pay an absurd number of taxes and instead of our leaders managing the money they have…they always want more…and now under the guise of a tax. Our gov and msm regularly promote fear regarding the earth just so they can get more money from us. We should be investing in green renewable initiatives and ideas not mandating your citizens to only buy electric cars. Let me say this though, I don’t really talk politics or religion on my channel but I also can’t prevent people from unfollowing cause they don’t agree with me.

    The reason we have polar vortex, and heat domes, and all that is simply because we have better science and better equipment to see in detail what is happening with the weather and climate. It's not because it's the "scientists", it's only because we're getting better at understanding nature. Given that there is still a lot to understand.

    • @HiddenSpringFarm
      @HiddenSpringFarm 13 годин тому

      All that is probably a good & proper assessment but for me it’s a combination of the two. Here in Canada our PM wants people to pay a carbon tax cause as he says “Canada is burning” with all the wildfires. But he and the experts on the news always fail to disclose that over 90% of our fires are caused by humans and not the climate crisis.

    • @elisaa9981
      @elisaa9981 12 годин тому

      But *_humans cause the climate crisis_* I'm sorry to see that you pass so uninformed judgement, you need to inform yourself better. There are a lot of good sources available online, but if you are one of those who don't trust peer-reviewed science, I don't know what to say. Then nothing will change your mind. Carbon tax is an excellent proposal, and it could still be designed so that the income goes back to people with the Canada Carbon Rebate. The climate crisis is real, just ask the forest owners who have seen their life savings vanish with the attack of Mountain Pine Beetles, their epidemic spreading is a direct consequence of climate change. And even if the wildfires are caused by humans, there have to be the "right" conditions for them to spread like they have been doing (drought, for example). When you shrug off the threats of climate change, you are contributing to dooming the future for the coming generations. If you have an audience on the internet you need to be responsible about that. I'm not trying to silence you. I just want you to look into facts and then pass judgement. And yes, I'm the same government expert whose previous comment you erased.

    What ever you do do not take hear say as fact. Google everything if you can. My mum's dad brought up turkeys. domestic were not bad but the wild breed, leave them alone. The stress of not being able to run to the woods for protection can kill them. Might not want to keep talking to them, not like goslings. then again, that is what gramps said, could be wrong.

    Hi Chad and Remi, I’ve been watching for a few months now and I’m OCD so after seeing some videos in a scattered timeline I’ve started at the beginning though I do watch your newest videos as they pop up. Great attitude and feeling from your videos, they make me happy and while I’m stuck in HOA hell here in Texas i can watch you do the things I wish to do. I just had an idea you could consider for another source of income if you choose. You like making unique structures, have you considered (and maybe this was covered in a newer video I haven’t come to yet) building your designs in some type of CAD program and selling the designs (include scaling up or down possibilities)? The chicken house is so different that folks may buy the plans to build their own. Hopefully this idea is helpful. I also wanted to ask: do you and Remi have regular jobs as well as the farm and airbnb? I know those alone are tons of work but from your videos it sounds as if you are still working elsewhere. What did y’all do for work before getting your far? More backstory if you are ok with it? Sorry if that is too much
